The Bont Flow roller skate wheel series is designed for park and street skating. Available in two hardnesses it caters to all types of skating. Going vert? Maintain great control at high speeds and quick turns with the 99a Park Flow! If street is more your style, check out the 89a Street Flow. It's a super smooth ride over bumpy surfaces and helps cushion hard landings. The special wheel edge design minimizes wheel bite on coping, rails and ledges for the perfect slide or grind.
Hardness: 89a Street or 99a Park
Size: 58mm x 32mm
Designed in Australia
Tested by Team Bont ParkStars
Note: The Street Flow is not an outdoor road wheel, it's designed for skaters who prefer skating open street skate parks, DIY spots, halfpipes and bowls. You can use to skate on the road but it is not as smooth as skating with a soft 78a - 85a outdoor wheel.
Bont Skates has a long history of producing high-quality roller skate wheels. We took our extensive knowledge of producing the best inline speed skating wheels and roller derby wheels in the world and applied them to a park and street wheel for this project. The Bont ParkStars team is a team of the best park skaters all over the world. They tested a number of prototypes and formulas to come up with the best park wheel on the market.
The Bont ABEC 7 skate bearing has been extensively tested on elite roller derby skaters. When you are skating on your skate bearings, especially in plastic hub wheels, bearings can warp which slows them down. Thankfully, the Bont ABEC7 roller skate bearing is made from high strength steel which minimises this effect and keeps the shape of the bearing as round as possible which decreases rolling resistance at high speeds.
The double shields assist in keeping the dust and dirt out of the bearing. With exceptionally low rolling resistance and pre-lubricated with a light racing oil, you are competition-ready straight out of the box!
- Bearing Type: 608
- Dimension: 8x22x7
- Protection: ZZ
- Cage: SPCC 08F
- Quality: Bearing steel GCr15
- Ball complement: 7 pieces
- Ball Material: Steel
Pack of 16 pieces.
Are you looking to buy the best roller skate bearings on the market? The Bont ABEC 7 bearing has tighter tolerances than the ABEC 5 bearing making it a slightly faster skate bearing. Making a bearing faster includes a number of factors including the material it is made from, the tolerance between the ball and outer race, how round the balls are and the lubricant used. As these roller skate bearings were designed specifically for skating, we have taken all of these factors into consideration when designing our ABEC 7 roller skate bearing.
Is it better to have more or less balls in a skate bearing? We have found no difference in our testing. More balls spread the load but also cause more rolling resistance from having more balls. Having 7 or 9 balls does not seem to make any impact on the speed you can achieve while skating on the bearings.
