Description
Two Fitting Positions
The MetaLift Dome can be attached to the top or bottom of a compatible removable insole, depending on your footwear and how much support you prefer to feel.

On top of the insole: Offers more direct, targeted support, with the dome’s shape more noticeable underfoot.
Under the insole: Places a layer of insole material between your foot and the dome, creating a softer, more evenly distributed feel.
Your ideal placement will depend on the insole’s thickness, the construction and fit of your footwear, and what feels comfortable to you.

Fitting Instructions
-
Remove the insole from your footwear, if possible.
-
Find the ball of your foot and estimate where the metatarsal heads sit.
-
Place the dome just behind the metatarsal heads, generally centered beneath the second and third metatarsals.
-
Hold it in place using the temporary positioning adhesive.
-
Put the insole back in your footwear and check how the placement feels.
-
Reposition the dome if the support feels too far forward, too far back, or uneven.
-
Once you’re comfortable with its position, mark or trace the location.
-
Remove the temporary positioning layer to expose the permanent adhesive.
-
Press the dome firmly onto a clean, dry surface.
-
Repeat for the other foot, using the first insole as a guide if helpful.

The dome should feel gently supportive. If you experience sharp pressure, numbness, or discomfort that continues, stop using it and consult a qualified health professional.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I place the MetaLift Dome?
Position the dome slightly behind the ball of your foot, rather than directly beneath the metatarsal heads. It should generally be centered under the area between the second and third metatarsals. Test the position with the temporary adhesive before attaching it permanently.
Can I put the MetaLift Dome under the insole?
Yes. On top of the insole, the dome provides a more direct feeling of support. Under a compatible removable insole, the support may feel softer and more gradual. Insole thickness, flexibility, and footwear fit will help determine which position works best.
Can I use the MetaLift Dome in skates or athletic footwear?
Yes, as long as there is enough room inside the footwear and a suitable surface for attachment. It can be fitted in compatible inline skates, roller skates, ice skates, athletic shoes, work shoes, cycling shoes, and everyday footwear.
